2019 Most Valuable Student Scholarship

Hagan Scholarship Foundation

  • The Hagen Scholarship is a nationwise need-based merit scholarship, designed to provide each recipient with the oppurtunity to graduate college debt free. The intended recipient of a Hagen Scholarship is a high-achieving, self-motiviated student who will require financial assistance to attend college. The Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship

  • Through its Mentoring and Leadership Development Program, the Jackie Robinson Foundation provides scholarships of up to $30,000 over four years to minority high school students showing leadership potential and demonstrating financial need to attend an accredited 4-year college or university of their choice.

  • To be eligible for a Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship, an applicant must:

  • The Truman D. Picard Scholarship Program is dedicated to the support of Native American students pursuing a higher education in Natural Resources.

Payne County Bank Scholarship

  • Postmarked no later than March 15

  • Scholarship awards are $2,500.  The awards may be renewed at the same amount for an additional three years by maintaining a cumulative 2.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale and full-time enrollment in an undergraduate program.

  • Applicants must be high school seniors who plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two-or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school in the fall following graduation.

Mattress Advisor’s Sleep Science Scholarship

  • Deadline: March 20

  • $1000

  • Applicants need to submit a written piece exploring their personal relationship with sleep health and the impact it’s had on their education in an 800-1000 word essay. It should quote research from recent studies in this field and explain what resources are available to help reduce poor sleep health.

  • ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be a graduating high school senior.

    • Must enroll full time in an agriculture program at an accredited Oklahoma college, university
      or technical school.

    • Must be a member of a Farm Bureau family (father, mother or legal guardian memberships qualify;
      grandparents’, siblings’ or other relatives’ memberships may not be used). Membership must remain in good standing for the duration of the scholarship.

    • Children of paid employees of Oklahoma Farm Bureau and Affiliated Companies are not eligible.

The Jimmie L. Dean Foundation Scholarship

  • Deadline: April 15, 2020

  • Up to $10,000

  • First time applicants must be:

  • A continuous resident of the state of Oklahoma for the past six (6) years,

  • A graduate from an Oklahoma High School or have completed the Oklahoma High School requirements through Homeschool activities,

  • Entering an accredited Oklahoma College, University or Technical school from the list on the application page on a full-time basis for the first time in the Fall of 2020 in pursuit of a 4 year undergraduate degree from the College or University or an appropriate degree from a Technical school such as Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology,

  • Graduate students and less than full time students are NOT eligible for an award.

2019 Judge R.L. Hert Memorial Scholarship

  • $1,000

  • A student need not have an interest in the study of law to qualify for the scholarship.  The scholarship requires only that the applicant graduate from a Payne County high school with the intention to pursue higher education at an accredited college or university.  

  • The Payne County Bar Association Scholarship Committee will be searching for an applicant who shows a well-rounded scholastic experience with outstanding citizenship, leadership, scholarship and need.

  • They wish to extend this scholarship to students who have an interest in the petroleum industry, but this is not mandatory.
